I've got a standard 8v punto and wanted to make it stand out more, I've already ordered some wind deflectors and I am thinking about tinting the rear windows.

However I really want some 14" black wheel trims and want to know which ones will look the best, if anyone can help me out or link me to somewhere I can get some decent wheel trims

Black wheel trims usually look pure tack....

What would look better is either standard alloys
Or repaintes / powdercoated in a matt finish steel wheels
Ensuring all corrosion is gone...

Ebay tho black trims
Fiat didnt do any black alloys or trims
Only steel wheels came black

Yeah I was thinking that but the only problem is I'm only on my first year insurance, I didn't wanna do anything major in case my insurance wouldn't pay out if anything did happen

Hi mate:) I personally not keen on aftermarket wheel trims. They tend to be quite convex. I did my standard punto trims Matt black. I just sanded them down with wet & dry till smooth..a few coats of plastic primer..then a few coats of Matt black from halfords. Did mine back in March and they still look perfect:) I also cleaned up and etch primed my wheel bolts and did them in gloss black.

Hi Jack, here is a pic of my 1.2, we only paid £100 quid for her and she's my runabout and taking the dog out car so excuse the dirt. She came with these wheel trims and personally........ I think they're flippin' awful! If she passes her MOT or doesn't cost me too much to get her through it then I'll be treating her to a set of Sporting alloys.
Now...my daughter's first car was a 1.2 MK2 and that came with alloys, clearly aftermarket but when asked about mods we did say none!

If this didn't have any trims then I think I'd go with Ziggy's suggestion, clean up the steelies and paint em. Not too sure about a matte finish, it is a bitch to clean, satin black possibly?
