I've an amber "bulbcheck" warning light on my dashboard. My thought is, that the problem is in the left tail light. The warning light disappears for about 5 seconds when I disconnect and then reconnect the tail light bulb. I've tried to make a separate earth connection, but that doesn't solve the problem. Both of the tail light bulbs are 10W, and none of my bulbs are blown..

Any suggestions what might solve this problem?? :)

Both tail light bulbs are new, and the warning light disappears for a while, then comes back on when I'm disconnecting and reconnecting a tail light bulb. The other bulbs have no effect on the warning light when disconnecting/reconnecting. Isn't that an indication of, that the issue is in the tail light?? My point is, wouldn't it be unnecessary to buy the ELM327 interface, if it just tells me to replace a tail light bulb?

Maybe it tells you front side lights instead. Then you replace them. And the light is still on. And then you forget all about it because the amber light is even worse than the early 90s Alfa Check Control.

Usually looked something like this all the time:

What I mean is that if you've replaced the bulbs then that's about all that can be done, save for cleaning the contacts on the bulbs, holder and plugs. Maybe check your trailer hitch connections if you have one fitted as that might change the properties of the connection between body computer and bulbs, too.

Thank you so much for your help. I'll try yo fix the problem :)

I'm with Ziggy on this. If the black wire earth pin on the cluster plug is not causing the problem it will cause another eventually. Well worth cleaning them both. While the cluster is out open the bulb holder strip. They sometimes can do with a clean up as well as you can get corrosion on the metal strip in around the bulbs.

They told me in the store, that FIAT recommends 10w's for the tail lights
