Hey. My punto mk2 jumps up and down. Been told its caused by a vacuum leak. So i wanted to know if you Guys could tell where exactly these lines Are and how many. Cant find a picture or schematics of the vacuum system. [ame]http://youtu.be/Uv8BnBlCdb8[/ame]
 
Problem
  • Erratic idle.
Cause
  • Throttle position (TP) sensor sticking.

  • Disconnect battery earth lead.
  • Remove air filter assembly.
  • Remove throttle body.
  • Remove throttle position (TP) sensor using extraction tool.
  • Clean casing
  • Fit new throttle position (TP) sensor, making sure it engages with flat on shaft
  • Rotate throttle position (TP) sensor so that it engages into throttle body casing
  • Tap throttle position (TP) sensor onto throttle body casing using fitting tool
  • Refit throttle body using new seal and retaining screws.
  • Refit air filter assembly.
  • Reconnect battery earth lead.
 
was kinda honping to try the vacuum first before spending a ton of Money again on This ****ty car and taking it all apart.?? the high revs is me putting My foot down ?
 
I would clean the throttle body and check the brake servo vac hose for security at both ends.
If the throttle body itself is loose or the inlet manifold you can make the revs change by pushing or pulling on them.
