hi
i just bought a punto active 1.2L 06 plate today, ive driven it home in the dark and ive noticed that the temperature/fan controls on the lower dash are not lit up when the lights are on. is this normal? im yet to locate the fuse box but rather than rummage in the dark i thought id ask for help on here.
regards

only the three dials are lacking light. are all three on independent bulbs? or maybe a fuse could have blown????? perhaps????

All those bulbs for the center console are on the same circuit
its seriously not uncommon for the bulbs to pop

They are tiny 1.2w bulbs - see the guide
I'd advise again halfords as they are mega expensive vs online via ebay for example

If 1 of the 4 lights is working behind there - then the circuits fine its just blown bulbs

pliers = be careful - they DO shatter

ziggy

Haynes DIY manual says fuse 51 in the passenger fusebox is for number plate lights and instrument panel illumination. Looking at the wiring diagrams i am guessing the lights in front of the driver are on a different fuse as there is no mention of fuse 51 there.

Fuse 51 also covers a light for the cigar lighter, so I missed that one when i did my bulbs last month. It is not the easiest of jobs to get to these 5 bulbs which is why they were never replaced.
