right,

my sister wanted remote locking, so i bought fiat meta remote locking from ebay for £60, took 2 secs to fit, just simple plug in system :) but now she wants one that bleeps and indictors flash when you press the button how can i do this?
What with the existing Meta unit?

The Meta M20 was fitted as an extra to mk1 puntos at a cost of £70, i've been looking on the internet and it doesnt look like you can add this feature. Looks like you might have to upgrade to an alarm, the mk1 punto alarms use the indicators.

I dont like this idea:
I sometimes forget the lock the doors when driving by myself, will this kit do it automatically for me?
Yes, if you already have central locking this kit will intelligently lock the doors 15 seconds after you switch the engine on and press the brake pedal. The doors will also automatically unlock after you turn off your engine.

I cant see why that would need to be done, and what if you want to get out of the car and leave the engine running? will it lock you out?

Proper anti-hijack should only lock the car once you're have gone above xmph then of course if you get out, you unlock the door anyway. I guess cheapo ones don't work like that.

mine locks after 15 seconds of the ignition coming on, assuming a door isnt opened in that time. on a car without a digital speedo (so no VSS) its a wee bit difficult to make it lock at X mph

Loads of cars with analogue dials for speed have it, well, every Renault since about 98 at least.Edit: I kind of know what you mean though, you mean retro fitting it right? In which case I get you :)

No idea what VSS is :p

All modern vehicles have a VSS sensor (Vehicle Speed Sensor) attached to the transmission or an axle that generates a speed signal. This signal is used by the speedometer, cruise control, and some of the engine and transmission computers

cinqs dont have them. mk1 seis dont. mk2 seis do have them. we're talking retro fitting to a punto mk1. i'm assuming it doesnt have one as its of similar age to my car. i could well be wrong though.

Too tired to read right through this thread but I take it you have central locking already installed? If so you could use 2 (or 3 if you want it to acknowledge lock using the cars horn) standard 4/5 pin relays (one on lock, other on unlock) to flash the indicators (only once though) when the locking recieves a neg or pos pulse.Better than nothing but alot of hassle if you ask me.Has the unit you fitted got no accessory + or - output(s)?

it has no outputs, if it just flashed once but would be fine, it wouldnt really matter about the bleep, mainly flash. you could properly run some wires from where it plugs in to give a + and - output when you click the remote, and then connect that to the indicators? but id have no idea how to.
