Anyone had their rear window heater fuse blow a lot? Mine has gone twice now in about 4 months - is this normal - i was driving at night and went to switch it on - i saw a quick flash from the fuse box (even though it was covered!!) and the heater stopped working. Its probably a high voltage circuit so maybe this is related?

Cheers!

It's still 12v, but would be high current. The fuse would blow if there is too much current going through it, which means there could be a short circuit or other lower resistance than expected. Don't fit a higher rated fuse. Might be worth getting hold of a wiring diagram (Haynes manuals have basic ones), and then tracing the heating element to see what resistance it is (need a multimeter for this). The post on here and someone with the same Punto can hopefully merasure their working one to see if yours has a problem.

Thanks Gav! I have the Haynes manual so I'll take a look.
