Ok excuse my french but iv well and truly ****ed my exhaust! started with a small hole and got bigger and bigger and now half my exhausts missing! All i'v got is manifold to cat and it comes straight down! No flexi pipe as its snapped off ( so much for "flexi") no lambda sensor as i couldnt leave it hanging, and then i have the rear intermediate to back box and thats it lol! im no expert but i can safely say its well and truly irreparable! so im left with 2 options, whole new exhaust system (well manifold to cat to flexi pipe) my backbox is ok cond) or decat! is it worth it on a 2002 1.2 punto? or shall i stick to a standard cat? iv got a bit of money to play around with but i want to spend as little on the exhaust as possible and need to do it quick as its drinking fuel like a right thirsty Mofo atm! help is much appreciated!

Where's it broken - red or blue, or after that?

You need a cat to pass an MOT, so if red you'll need to replace everything (including manifold). Hell, for that matter you'll need to replace the manifold even if it's broken at the blue point but at least that's after the cat.

flexi pipes allow for the exhaust to stay near put as the engine rocks and rolls about

If you have a welding friend, he may be able to weld it back together

But alas, rust on rust welding wont last at all

What you've linked to looks good, though you can probably get one in good condition for a lot less from a breakers.

Yeah Ziggy my uncle does welding & all that but its at such an awkward angle and its not a clean snap either so im gunna have to get a new cat! , and ill try scrappy as im down my local about once a week lol so will see!

Make sure you cash in on the scrap precious metal weight for your cat

Dunno how much you will get like, but any money back to you has gotta be better then none!

I wonder how much lonely single mechanics get on with all those brake disc's and clutchs and etc etc get on with it

I would think it pays for there holidays
