Hello guys,

my second thread here on the FF :)

I have an '04 Punto Sporting 1.4 16V MK2B.

It currently has a K&N Open cone filter on it, and a super sprint back box. But I'd like these replacing as personally i'm not a fan.

So, basically, what is out there that I can replace what I have already. Can I use exhausts from a MK2A or a 1.2? Because the choices seem to be slim pickings.

Prefferably i'd like an enclosed induction kit to minimize heat soak, or a standard air box and just an up rated panel filter, like green stuff or BMC.

The SS back box I have has an oval tip and I don't like the look and is perhaps a little too quiet lol.

If I can i'd like a 3 inch outwardly rolled tip, and i'd like to replace the whole center section, but keep the CAT in for legal reasons, can I do this?

Many thanks.

The 1.4 16v has the Cat in the manifold or a "Manicat".

So yes you can do anything you like with the rest of your exhaust as long as it meets MOT regulations.

That's good, thanks Chris. Do you happen to know whether the 1.2 8v or 16v exhausts fit? Because there are basically nil exhausts I can find for the 1.4. If they are interchangeable then good news! But if not i'll have to get a custom one made, and I think i'd prefer to avoid that.

Thanks Chris, thats good news, so if I search punto 1.2 16v and find an exhaust I like, it should be a straight swap? Cheers. :)
