under the bonnet....
Hello,

Just noticed this morning when I got out of my car (while engine was on) to get something out of the boot, my driver side rear light is out :bang: Now I've replaced loads of lights before on cars but not on this car, how easy is it to get to the bulbs on Punto MK2? (2000 model).

Are the bulbs cheap to buy? Do I need any tools to get to the bulbs?

Thanks in advance guys! :D

It's a doddle to do,even for me!
If you look inside the boot at the pillar behind the light cluster, there are 2 plastic blanking pieces. Lift those out and that gets you access to 2 bolts. There is a tool in the car's tool kit specially dsigned to un do these bolts. Once they are off, the whole light cluster comes loose. I can't remember if you need to disconnect the connector or not to get enough room to change the bulb, but it is easy to do. Just make sure you make a mental note first which bulb you are changing!
Bulbs readily available from any auto shop.
Just re-connect the cluster and tighten it back up. Take the opportunity to clear out the crap that will probably have accumulated round the cluster as well!
