Hi all,

Just went for a drive now and the power steering failed, warning light came on and at the same time so did the yellow engine light, which according to an online guide is the "Emission Control System"?

I've had the power steering light on before and apparently it is a common problem, cutting the engine and restarting it seems to have made that one go off and now the steering is fine but the other light remains.

On a side note I installed some white LED's into the footwells today which I wired to the back of the 12v cigarette lighter, I'm not sure at all if this is relevant it just seems like too much of a coincedence?

Can anyone shed some light on the situation?

you need to get the error codes read and look for P0500 in the body computer.
