Hi guys

The passenger side arm is set slightly too low, as it hits the plastic close to te bonnet when at fell speed. My plan was to move the arm a few notches up, so I removed the cap covering the bolt, took off the nut and assumed the arm would just slip off bolt......but no....just get the damn thing off. I can't even leverage it as there is plastic under the arm and nothing solid.

Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

mine came off with a good hard pull i dont know if thats the correct way of doing it though, i doubt it is

have you tried getting a screw driver under there and prising it off?

Generally for cars, to remove the wiper, you need to remove the securing bolt, and then extend the arm (lift it up so its sticking into the air), give it a wriggle and it'll just slip off

Didn't think of pulling the arm back and pointing it upwards cor some extra leverage.....cheers guys!

I bought a gear puller to do the job - I'm crazy scared of cracking the windscreen.

Best idea is a puller.
If the arm is hitting plastic its likely the link rods have worn. Before long one wiper (usually passenger side) will stop working.

A new set from Wipex will solve it. But to do the job properly you will need to take the mechanism off the car so both wipers arms will have to be taken off.
Its "possible" to fit the Wipex links without but you cant clean up the old bearing pins and they'll fail again PDQ.

It's a new mechanism, I think the mechanic placed the arm slightly to far and needs adjusting

if its a new cassette wiper mechanism then once the 13mm nut undone a quick waggle as already said should have it free
sloppy mechanic that didnt check park before signing car off
