hi guys i have a 1.2 fiat punto Y-reg 8 valve i managed to run myself a flat battery over the weekend(must have left the stereo running or something) so i jump started it this afternoon off my parents car, however i not have the fuel injection light permantly on when the engine is running, i don't know if the two are related or not but advice would be appriated

So injection light = Eml light

get the fault codes read, i dont think the Eml comes on with a flat battery

how can i get the codes read cheaply(i.e not taking it to fiat) i didn't think the two were related but on the off chance they were i thought i should say

hmmm - A weird thing to check
look in the engine bay and the fuses for the injectors, it may be a freak thing to happen, but as the car jump started, a surge hit the injectors and as a result the Fuse has popped

does the engine run rough? Hunting for fuel? Shuddering alot?


And for a cheap code Reader

if you have a laptop/Note book thing, get a Cheap Cable off Ebay
And go to the Lets Talk Fiat Sections --> free diagnostic software

Use the Fiat ECU scan, and use the website it comes from to find out what type of cable you will need

and read the fault codes
handy for all other fiat diaga's

Btw is it a light like this?


As that Juddering Could be a Misfire and the engine has picked up on it
and illuminated the EML to warn you there has been a fault?
