i think i've got air trapped in my heater matrix

When i first start the car up - i tend to get alot of water rushing around (sounds like from the heater matrix)

I've topped fluid up(Brimmed it) and drained it down, but i never seem to get any air out

Problem still remains

Heater still works fine (hot and cold)
The Fan kicks in when cars been stood about 10-15 when its practically warmed up

I did do an anti-freeze change about 5months ago, it didnt make any air noise for the first couple of months then all of a sudden, its gotten worse

any help would be greatly appreciated

Also i have a self locking problem in this thread (any help there to would be greatly appreciated)

Many Thanks

Ziggy

keep both bleed screws open and let the water flow out but keep an eye on water level and top up as required, i had to do it in my punto it took abit till the air released.

Drain the water and remove one of the small hoses from the thermostat (that feed to the throttle body). Open the vent screws and fill the coolant until its flowing clear from the pipe and the vents. Close the pipe then close the vents and dont allow the coolant tank level to fall below minimum.

Run the car for a few days to confirm the head gasket is ok. If its not leaking drain the water add 2.5 litres of red antifreeze and top up with water using the same method as above.

There is a small coolant hose that keeps the throttle body warm. Taking it off helps more air to escape when the system is filled.
