Hi! After hearing about the problems that Punto owners have with there wipers :bang: we at WIPEX LIMTED have designed a BRAND NEW SILENT WIPE KIT for the Punto Mk 2 (y)

"SILENT WIPE - no judder, no smear, no squeak"

This new kit fits straight onto your original bracket and motor and is easily fitted in approx. 1 hour.

The linkage is a full upgraded system using high quality materials for strength and rigidity and we also supply two brand new HIGH QUALITY WIPER BLADES in with the kit.

but you only have to take the wrong greese fiat put in the gears out, and put the correct greese in an that cures it :confused:

These are not endorsed in any way by fiat forum as i have not been given one to try,
they may or may not improve you wipers i wont know untill the seller gives me a set.

And imo single wipers dont look that good (n) (btw website doesnt work)

Sort of on the same subject, does anyone know if you can buy the wierd looking wipers that are fitted to Audis/Mercs/VWs etc........I like them and want some for mine (y)
 
£89!!!!!!

Waste of money. I had the judder problem and went to Halfords bought Bosch wipers for a total of £18 and now have a smear free, non-juddering non-squealing wipe :):):)
 
Hi! The SILENT WIPE system has been designed to replace the whole wiper system on the Mk 2, because of many reoccuring problems. A few customers have had Mk2 linkages actually breaking which is why we now manufacture a replacment system as Fiat charge £105.00 just for a new linkage! We have upgraded the system for more rigidity and used upgraded materials to try and alliviate all of these problems. Then we have added the two high quality wiper blades, as the better the blade rubber the better the wipe!

We have added this to your forum just so that if anyone does have these problems we can help! If someone would like to try the system for the forum we will send you one free of charge so you can see our quality product.

Also someone mentioned the Bosch Aerotwin blades that are on the VW, Merc's AUdi etc they are a brand new blade which appear to not have a spine, fitted to many new vehciles. We do have these in stock so it you are interested let us know what car for and we'll get you a price.

Just bought my punto last week and it has this problem. on the slow wipe ithe wipers tend to judder a lot. it's not the blades they're fine. I've tried the wipers in the upright position away from the screen and they still judder. I'd liketo get rid of the problem but i don't really have the money for that right now. is there not a cheaper way to fix it?

(it's a mk2 2000 x reg btw)

have you tried new greese in the wiper gears?

i have now got the up grade kit from singlewiper, i will be fitting soon and taking photos, i will post the results when its done.
 
After about a month of use i have noticed over the last couple of days that my wipers, specifically the drivers side one can be juddery, noisy and inefficient. This problem was componded by getting something off the road onto my screen, oil, grease chemical , something like that which needed me to clean the screen ( in the middle of a rainstorm !!) , luckly i had a container of Autoglym Fast glass and some clean rag in the car.

I'm interested in servicing my wiper mechanism in the first instance using 'The correct grease' , then i'll try some Bosch or Champion blades ( i've always liked Champion blades and usually specifically look out for them).

So i'll be able to do the work myself no problem but any specific tips would be handy, also what is the correct grease to use for this job ??
