Hey

I have just bought a sportex exhaust (box) for my 1.2 8v punto mk2 and altough it looks fantastic it lacks any noise. I'm not after it sounding like a big "fart" however i would like it to have some grummble to it lol

Does anyone know it they have removable baffles that can be taken out easily, as i know a lot of universal exhaust box's have this feature.

If not would removing the centre section (that contains a silencer) make a lot of difference i.e. is it worth doing. If it is, is it worth buying a branded centre section or would it be ok to use just any pipe??? would this also affect MOT or anything

all i know is i have no middle silence and my sportex is very loud wen between 5-6 thousand revs, 1 -3 is a realy nice rumbble, but to be fair yours should be loud as sportex's are qiute loud

Edit: Mine is also a 8 valve, but i do not know wat mine would sound like if it did ave a middle silencer :S

yea i thought it was only 8v's that had middle section silencers however mine is only an 8v (active sport) the cheap version of your sporting lol! and it has one ... strange?? :S

In all honesty i havent really taken it up to 5000 revs, i dont like to rev it that high lol if i did im sure it would sound great lol!

i think i may just have to get a straight though centre section like you then. Much to my insurance's dissaproval lol!
