my heat shield on my mk2 punto 1.2 8v has started to rattle as the bolts that connect it have made the holes bigger on the cover.its realy loose and makin an anoying rattle. would it be safe to remove it and drive it without? or is it very important to have it on for the rest of the engines sake? i do have a ford focus induction kit so i will most probly need an induction heat shield.
someone please help as the rattling is getting on my tits

so its 100% safe for the rest of the engine if it was taken off?

My mk 2 has never had one, its never caused me any grief
