Arite, What year did the 1.2 8v punto come out with the sensor on top of the rocker cover (i persume its a cam sensor of some sort)?? any help appreciated, cheers!

hmmmm i was hoping so aswell but appears it hasnt, see that says 2000 onwards and still doesnt show the sensor on top of the rocker cover! anybody have an idea how this is?

Cam sensor fitted from 2001 onwards (Y-reg), and is also denoted by an amber Engine warning light on the dash, and they also have two lambda sensors in the exhaust (before and after the cat).

And the crankshaft pulleys are different! any other changes at all? maybe more reliable? lol my old engine was a 2000 you see! will that engine run ok without the cam sensor plugged in?

Yes will run fine if your using your old ECU iirc

Yeah im using the old ecu, i dont know if this is going to be worth it in the end tho! my last engine was destroyed at 76,000 and this one has meant to have higher mileage!
