what roughly would you set your tyre pressure at on a 15" 195 45 profile tyre

35 front 29 rear under normal load

Err, for a mk1 Punto with 185/55 R14 tyres, the Haynes manual suggests 2.4 bar on the front, 2.0 on the back. I should imagine that would not be far off, at least until you find the exact pressures required.

i set them all to 32 and it seems fine

Front should be higher pressure than the rears, 35/29 as Dave suggests is a better solution. You have to account for the fact you have the engine up front.

I thought it sounded familiar. Being lazy, I just remembered the 'bar' values; seems easier to remember for me
