the LCD? Can you make out the numbers still (perhaps by shining a light on it) if so its might be the smd leds have gone or the fuse.
do the rest of the instruments work and do they light up when sidelights are turned on? if they don't light up with sidelights then it probably is the fuse.
My fuse for the heater control lights went the other day but was an easy change.
