Could anyone tell me which size the allen key to change the oil should be? I cant find anyone selling sets that have such big ones. The biggest are 10mm, which clearly is to small. Is it 14mm? I tried to meusure it but I want to be sure. I probely have to order it from somewhere, so it would be nice to order the correct size from the beginning

joel, its either 13mm or 14mm.

it's 14mm as far as i can remember. tool shops will sell them individually.

for a punto it's a 12mm allenkey and you can buy them from halfords as an attachment to go on a rachet.

yep, deffo a 12. use a big ratchet with a hex socket

You really will need that big ratchet to get plenty of leverage, and while you're buying that key, get some axlestands as well. I would not get under my Punto Sporting without it.

BTW - it's a 12mm Hex Key, not 13 or 14

Mad, typical but the manual lists the size and torque requirements of every single screw and bolt on the car except for the oil drain plug. But it does say you need to fit a new washer every time you remove it.

thanks for you help. I went to a DIY garage so it was easy to do. I noticed that my sump is rusty as hell. Is it easy to change it yourself? Or should I just ask the fiatgarage that does my service to change it with next oilchange?
