my m8s punto will not start when you try starting there is a relay just above and to the rear of the air filter box on bulk head that clicks very loudly we took this off and tried it on my punto and found it to be okay but not clicking loudly. You can bump the 55 and it will start ok but not off the key also when you leave ignition lights on they flicker well 2 anyway the key icon and the round red icon any ideas to this dilema

the batterys flat, charge it or get a new one(recomended).

tried jump leads and it still would not have it so is it possible that something else is wrong.

I had the same thing, a knackered battery and it would not start even with a jump. Not sure why and still can't get my head around why it didn't jump start.

Had had the car two weeks and been given a 1 year warranty on it but guess what, battery not covered! So two weeks of owning a Punto and I was having to cough up 70 notes.

when you jump it are you putting the - lead too an engine earth or the battery - terminal?

Key icon is for the imobiliser malfunction.If it's flashing, it means that U'r car is not protected by the immobiliser.Check the fuses located near those relays which clicks.
I have a similar problem.Had U checked U'r car with the EXAMINER?
