hey jus reset my ecu left it for a while and the revs are goin up on there own a tiny bit for a few times the up to about 2,700 rpm on there own please help, this is dangrous

is it the first time you have run it since the ecu was reset?

if so, its just 'learning' after the reset. leave it running for a bit, then turn it off and start it up again. mine took a couple restarts at intervals of about 5 mins before it got back to normal.

Why did you reset your ecu in the first place? Was it because of this problem?

iirc it takes about 20 journeys to fully re-learn, but I can't see why it would be acting like that, just from a re-set.

Have you checked that your throttle body doesn't have a sticky butterfly? My mk1 did and I ended up driving it at 5k revs without my foot on the pedal...hours of fun lol

How and why would someone want to reset a ECU?
