hi i hit the kurb pretty hard this moring on way home form work
after inspecting my car the wheel seems fine only a few marks on the alloys nout big and a bit of the tyre rubed away

but the dials have been nocked and so has the steering wheel
ive had a look underneath to see if anythinks broken its not everythinks fine
my only fort is the steering wheel it self has been nocked and need to taken off and puting back on straight

the car drives ok and can turn around conors just a lil worry about the steering wheel

can any1 tell me if im right on my fort if so how do i go about sorting my steering wheel out ?

many thanks :)

as custard says the steering cant be moved from were it is

but even if it could you should never fix it this way

the reason your steering is off centre is because one of the track rods has been bent slightly

it only takes 1mm to move the steering centre position

you should always get the front wheel tracking done properly after an incident like yours

or you will encounter uneven tyre wear bad handling and unstable heavy breaking

get it done right or suffer the dangerous consequences

YO! what year is ur punto wat is the problem is it making a noise ?? i think we may be pissing in the same bonnet ur ball joint maybe damaged from the impact wb

just inspected the axel and surrounding areas on the wheel there is no damage and the springs theres no damage ive took the car out and been over speed bumps and heard no noises infact its smoother than before lol

the car turns fully without making any noise

so makes me think that its just knocked the tracking out which would make sence

so dose anyone have a idea how much it cost to get the tracking and re line ?

and how long dose the job roughly take as im drivin to scotland next saturday or would it be worth me waiting untilnext month went il have the funds to do it if its gonna cost alot

many thanks :)
