I agree it looks the b*ll*cks, nice car. 4 years old only 23000 is not bad, you could do worse for £5g especially if it has a sound system. Also there are 2 1.2's, slower 8v and faster 16v I assume it's the 16v but you might wanna check. good luck see if you can get the seller down a bit.

You can pick up a 6 month old Punto with 6k on the clock for 4695 at the car supermarket near me. (late 2003 car!) And it doesn't have that stupid spoiler at the back to spoil it! ;)

but it wont have the bodykit or 17" wheels which make it look about 10 times better than a sh1tty standard 5 door punto

The cheap car will not be a five door and will be an 8v model. Having said that I'd rather have that everytime (in fact I've got one!) but that wasn't the question!

I would never buy a modded car. It's been driven the way it looks.
Don't do it, you'll have gearbox and gasket and all sorts of problems later on.

Try and find a low mileage one and do it up yourself, (if you want to do so) it's worth it. But you'll always have trouble selling a modded car. I certainly wouldn't touch one.

Dr Pepper: I realise that, but I also guess this is an 8v engine, otherwise they would make a big point out of it in the sale - the 16v being a massive improvement. Also, many prefer 3dr (not me, but some do!).

Why would you want 17" alloys...? I guess it's just personal opinion. I suppose it stands on whether you want a 6 month old nice and new car or 4 year old modified and POSSIBLY heavily overused car.

And as the above have said.

I also prefer 5 door (mine is) and unmodded cars (mine is). All I said was the price is about right in my opinion for what's advertised compared with other modded cars I've seen advertised, which was what was asked!

By the way I happen to think that that is one of the best looking modded Puntos I've seen, just right in my opinion not over the top. Minimaniac do you know if it is th3 16v or not - as Paul says quite a big difference.

It's not my taste but I am terribly hard to please with modified cars, I dislike the:

Spoiler (there is quite a big one right, or is it just my bad eyesight?!)
The over exagerated front bumper with snowplough look and adding plenty of drag
The back part of the "sideskirts"

Rach to their own however.

adding plenty of drag-lol. oh my god its a punto not an f1 car. the car wont be doin speeds high enough to notice any drag. the front bumper gets in plenty of air to the engine, which is a good thing.
agree with u about the spoiler tho- i like them small

Hmm not sure you're right wolfracepunto, I'm with Paul here. Drag is a big feature of all cars that's why leaving just an empty roof rack on increases your mpg so much, the engine has to work harder.

Exactly, wind drag is a problem with cars from anything of about 40+. As Dr Pepper has said, a roof rack or even a roof box adds considerably to your MPG etc. for you to not want to leave it on. Also, I reckon Fiat can work out fairly well how much air is needed and make allowences.

but it surely isnt that much different to the standard bumper, probably more efficient at directing the air round the car....we're talkin about a bumper here not a roof rack- thats something u add on to the car and yes it does make a diff: i carry 2 bikes on the top of mine sometimes and can only just do 70 on the m/way.

To be honest I dont think there is a better way of directing air around the car else Fiat would have done it in the first place. I'm not an expert of course but the more air you direct into the engine the more drag there is going to be when it all hits the back of the engine bay I would have thought.
