Hi

Anyone tried fitting the Bosch 'universal adaptor' wiper blades to Punto Mk2? I am totally unpractical and have no idea whether I can just clip the new assesmbly onto the old hinge, or whether I have to use the 'universal' one provided?

Also there are some fiddly adaptor things in a box with the blades, does anyone know what they're for? I am so useless...!

Well I don't actually know for the Punto but since noone else has replied yet it might be useful to know that I bought some Bosch ones for another car (Skoda Octavia) and they fitted really easily, did not need any of the bits and the instructions were clear (tailored to the car).

They work really well as well.

Yes. Bosch Wipers are the best I've come across - have been buying three sets a year for the last 7 years (ish). Excellent.

Here come da judge...

hi there just fitted a par of bosch blades on my mk2 few weeks ago. you have to use the plastc connector that comes with teh new blades it should allready be attached to the blades. all you do is lift wiper arm up and push the connector of your bosch blades into the hook of the wiper arm. now when you do this make sure the blade is horizonal compared to the wiper arm. if you try to put the blades on pointing in same driection as the arm you wont do it and may damage the connector. you will hear a click when the new blades are on properly.

as for them plastic things in box they had me confused for a while but you dont need them. so dont worry.

hope what i put made sense

I put some on my Mk2 last year and was impressed at how much quieter and better perfroming they were. I shouldn't have left the standard wipers on for 3 years I guess, but now I'd recomend Bosch all the way.
