Hi,
I have a 2011 Fiat Punto Evo Sporting 1.4 Turbo Multiair(135hp). In the owners manual it says I should use NGK IKR9F8 spark plugs however on NGK website it says that NGK IKR9J8 spark plugs fit my engine. I heard from somewhere (can't remember where) that the IKR9F8 model was replaced or something. Having said all this, both models are still available and so which one should I use for my car?

Thanks

You will have to choose the one you think that fits your taste.
The IKR9J8 has 2-projecting-ground electrodes, the rest is exactly like the OEM one, does the same.

Does one type have an advantage over the other? Is a multi-ground electrode one of the 'high performance' spark plugs?
Thanks

If everything is working fine with your car, I don't think that there is any real advantage. On 2-ground-electrodes the spark is presumably rounder, but on a good working regular electrodes the spark is spark, it does its job.
Maybe somebody else have other opinions if they used 2-ground-electrodes, I am curios to hear a different view. In my opinion both do the job and you will have to choose as I've mentioned earlier, the one you like best.

First of all, are you asking because there’s a problem with spark plugs you have fitted at the moment. Either way just fit whats already fitted or equivalent. Forget what you’ve heard or not...;)
