Hey Punto owners!

Just got a 2011 Punto Evo 1.4 and am looking to get ahead of any issues and take good care of it, since I want it to last me a minimum of 3 years.

Is there a recommended OBD device for this specific model of car, or am I good with any generic one? Relatively affordable if possible.

Also, got a power steering warning pop up briefly, after the car hadn't been on for 3+ weeks. I'm thinking that's battery related, since the issue hasn't came up now the car is being driven and the steering looks and feels fine. But can hopefully look into further with an OBD.

Don’t bother with generic code readers on fiat half the time they won’t read anything other than an engine management code and then you’ll still have to look up what the code means.
