1248cc multijet ;)

Get somebody who knows about cars to do half the test drive..

They will spot things a new driver wont ;)

80/100k will be in your pricerange

But it will be 12 years old

I have 3 of these ..
They do a 110 mile 2 hour trip regularly..
Fuel costs 10pence a mile on the best serviced one.. 13p for the worst..

I'll consider a diesel even though I'm not really keen on engines with timing chains

Had anyone here have issues with electric power steering

Many many people, there is a whole thread about it and you could probably even go and look up the report BBCs watchdog did on the problem.

It’s sounds to me more like you are trying to talk yourself out of buying the car, if you’re having all these doubts then maybe you’re better off getting something else. Almost every car will have a horror story and almost every car will have a list as long as your arm of common faults.

Well its hard to know to buy one or not. I'll just ask my mechanic and leave it at that

Youve specifically asked about a car in the 11 to 15 years in service bracket

Very few cars in that age and price bracket will have been one owner..good service history cars

Find something uncomplicated and simple to fix

With 15k a year to cover.. you need it on the road and working :)

Do let us know which colour Nissan Micra you buy ;)
