Hi guys and girls hope can get some help here,
My car went in to garage for gearbox replacement and new clutch since this has been done I’ve found when I’m doing 35 mph in 5th gear and come off the accelerator the car Huddersfield like crazy, It doesn’t do in any other gear and I’ve tried changing the spark plugs and ignition leads and still not difference, I’m wondering if from the work the garage did on the gearbox and clutch could have anything do with this or not?

what engine
was judder there before?

No it wasn't there before it went in for the work on it, it's the 1.4 5dr

A misaligned clutch can cause judder, but I would have thought it would be felt across all gears, not just 5th.

Why not go back to the workshop who did the job and ask them to check? I would tend to suspect a mounting somewhere along the line.

Let us know how you get on

Thanks guys will pop in see them on Monday. I had said to them about it and was told by them sounds like plugs or something along them lines and why I changed plugs and ignition cables.

Car was back at the garage where the work was carried out it ended up being a gearbox mount that was worn.
