General 2010 Fiat Punto Evo GP Heater position knob snapped off :-(

The heater position knob in my 2010 Punto Evo GP has snapped off whilst I was adjusting the position. I am unable to put it back on as the plastic fixture itself has snapped.

Is this something that I could buy parts for and fix myself - or is this something I need to take into the garage to get fixed? Does anybody know how much this would cost me roughly?

Any recommendations / advise will be appreciated?

The part will be readily available at fiat. can't see it costing much more than £35-40, and fitting shouldn't be that hard as long as you can get heater facia off.

at a guess you will need to replace the entire heater control box....

Do you have air con or not?
