General Cannot believe it!

When my car when in to have its Air con fitted my seat was damage while it was in there. I have complained to fiat several times and they asked me to send them pictures. I heard nothing back.
Today they have turned round and said they did not do it and for me to prove they did it!!
I am totally appalled by this. I cannot believe this...actually i can bloody typical.
I guess there is sod all i can do about this? :bang::bang::bang:

Looks like medium term studded belt rub to me. When your car was in, was there another one like it there at the same time or, do they have an overweight member of staff who drives one with the same pattern seats as yours?

don't they do a walk around damage check before you leave a car? i thought that was standard practice now

The car was not checked by anyone I just gave them the keys n they gave the keys to their car.

The bloke who fitted the air con has denied doing it. It went in about 16th feb

cHave you contacted fiat UK them selves to ask them to help resolve the issue ?

I always ask the garage to do a walk round check of the car when I drop it off and then I check it myself when I collect it.
The garage hates it, seems like to much bother for them… I don’t care though as I’ve been stung before when it hasn’t been checked in that manner.

I havent yet no i dont expect they will be much better either I have no proof except my word. I know full well my seat was not like that when i took it in. But ofcourse they won't admit to it!

I never thought to i guess will learn this time!

Wish i had never bought the car its been nothing but a disaster!!

With all due respects I think petel could be right, it certainly looks like something has rubbed against the seat, I have seen this before.

I have seen this on the same type of seat and mine is due to the grandson car seat rubbing against it.Not much help sorry

This is the drivers seat though, I have my daughters baby seat in it and it hant ruined her. Seat. I don't have any clothing thjat would have done this.

I have been told by an ex salesman who moved to a diff fiat that my seat is under warrenty??

My car's been in quite a few times, I've only had 2 walk around's... I think it just depends if there's someone watching them that day

Even though it may be under warranty, I doubt the warranty would cover that, as someones damaged it (albeit not you) it would be like you crashing into a lamppost and then walking into the dealership claiming it should be fixed under warranty, they'll have none of it, even if they supposedly caused it!

Unless of course you took it to a different fiat and claimed there was a mechanical fault with the seat they can't replicate and is dangerous, demand they replace it under warranty... If you have loose morals that is!

I was told about 3 weeks ago the service department have put in a claim over the seat. They would get back to me but unfortunatly they are not very good at doing things quickly!!
