I was driving home from work and I was on a very icy road and as I slowed for a junction, the van approaching at a faster speed than I was travelling hit me and shoved me into the middle of the road.

The damage is all on the bumper insert which I must admit is very good at taking damage. Some slight scuff to the paint which shows signs that the bumper has been depressed more than the damage to the insert would first suggest.

He tried to fob me off saying the damages isn't even worth repairing. I'm telling you it definitely is worth repairing. Anyway his van is much heavier than my car so damage could be even worse than what you can see.

Today I called my insurance and I have logged the claim, so I'm jus waiting for a call to let me know that he has fully excepted liability for the accident then the car will be collected for repair and a hire car delivered in the time it takes to repair.

Bit of an annoyence. Let's hope the damage really is just what I can see!

Argh unlucky dude, I've been out on the roads today and i must admit theres some amount of pillocks out there, i've seen so many people that are just trying to "drive as normal" seemingly just not even thinking its possible the next time they accelerate / turn / brake they could slam into something/someone.

I love ESP though, i fully tested my car in a car park earlier with it all on & off... brilliant bit of kit.

I feel like I'm the jinxed one :p

After all the messing around with that silly reversing woman driver back in April I found my car with a small dent and scratches on the passenger side door and back panel again. Nothing too noticeable, but I haven't washed my car since the bad weather has came along so that has masked it a fair bit.

No details left or anything as this was done whilst I was at work by some inconsiderate pillock. Not best please :( No point in claiming on my insurance as I dont wanna lost NCB and hopefully, it shouldn't cost too much to fix.

Seems theres been a lot of posts made and a lot of new evo owners since I last came on here. I've got a lot of reading to catch up on it seems :p

Get your no claims protected. It's way worth the extra monies. I hadn't been on here for ages either. Took about a day to catch up lol

My reccomened body repair centre examined my car and it has to have a resprayed bumper and a whole new bumper insert.

I said about my inserts being optional metallic inserts and he said the chassis details should hold the correct part number, I'd cry if I ended up with a black one lol

at least the back end of the car can take some damage from a van then, i had a pheasant run out from nowhere (i was at 30mph) and it shattered my grill, just managed to piece it back together with a bit of glue, you would never know its damaged but i just find it really flimsy (even when new) and looks so cheap
