I was just wondering if anyone can help me with a question about my dealer and the Yr 3 warranty...

I bought our 500 at a dealer in South-East London but I've recently relocated to Stirling. I understand that the 3rd year of the warranty is from the dealer rather than from Fiat directly. Will the fact that we're now 480 miles away be a big problem? Is it possible to swap dealers?

Apologies if this is a stupid question..

I believe the 3rd year warranty is with Fiat, not the dealer you bought the car from. I say this because I bought our 500 nearly new, (ex Fiat fleet car) from an independent reseller, nothing to do with Fiat. I just sent off the slip in the back of the service log and paid the £27.

If the car should require any sort of warranty claim in year three, I'm under the impression I can take it to whichever authorised Fiat Service centre I wish.

I was under impression that 3rd year is dealer not Fiat warranty. That's what came across when I had a problem in 3rd year anywayr
