I have a Stilo 1.8 Dynamic and i am having problems. First of all it sounds horrible at startup it sounds like a diesel for about a second and then sounds fine it seems there may not be any oil pressure from startup. Secondly i have put a universial air filter on the car and used a foil pipe to put it as close to cold air as i could. However some kind of mechanical buzzing noise occurs at about 3000 to 4000 revs i didnt worry about it a first but having 4 people in the car all the way down to newquay proved a problem on the motorway as the buzzing sound will occur because the car is doing between 3 - 4000 revs in 5th gear at 70mph. It was fine at first but about 150 miles into the journey the car stared losing power in a kangarooing kind of way it kangarooing got more violent and then the engine management light came on. It feels like something is getting stuck and drawing power from the engine however its fine before 3000 revs and after 4000 revs. I have just taken the air filter off the engine and looked down the metal gauss on the air intake the piece of metal that moves to let in air seems to be missing a screw. There is a screw in one part and not the other and i have noticed just lightly tapping this part there is something vibrating inside. If anybody could take a picture of the guass and the screw or screws behind it would greatly help me analyse the problem and i would be very thankful however if anybody can offer advice it would be greatly appreciated
