New car choice

So I'm thinking of selling up and moving on in the next few months, current car is a GPS 1.9mjet with TMC tuning box.
I have 2 car choices in mind and a budget of about 5-6.6k, dont do a mass of miles so going back to a petrol car.

Open to all suggestions if you dont agree with the others.

Re: New car choice

Buy a Jap

10 times more reliable than any European car and 100 times more fun

You can pick up a reasonably good condition Nissan 200sx (s14) 2.0l Turbo,
Subaru Legacy 2.4l Turbo 4wd, Nissan Silvia (s15) 2.2 turbo.
Or failing that, Get a Coupe 20VT and stay italien

Loads quicker than 225 meganes or nasty Bimmers

Cheers
Tom

Yeah, fair enough it is. But a rwd/4wd have been claimed to be alot more fun to drive than a fwd.
Suppose you could always get a T-jet? Use some of the extra money up on mods

Cheers

Is it just for you or have you often driving friends/family? Daily driver for work or playtime thing? Insurance a factor?

Just for me, daily driver for my 5 mile(each way) commute to work but has to be a fun car on the b roads at the weekends, but also has to hold some fishing gear for when I go. Insurance is a factor, say around group 36 max

Decent spec clio 197, ep3 type r or ibiza cupra 1.8t.

But if it was me I'd get the clio trophy edition (future classic)

If your looking for a fun, relatively cheap car they are the obvious choice though, and the 182 is hardly that heavy.

Re: New car choice

Clio 197s are a very fun car to drive. Mate I work with has one.
Have been tempted with a 197 but could get a decent 225 for cheaper, plus the addition of a turbo on the 225 (more tunable)

Think a 182 would be too small tbh.
Has to fit all my fishing stuff in!
