I got a really nice plate for my 18th. Its V18 DJH (DJH being initals), but i went ahead and bought a cinq. on an R reg! So now i got a nice pair of plates lying around waiting for a car to put em on. Might put em up for sale as i plan on having my cinq for a while. Problem is the DJ plates are bloody expensive if i wana get another!

the only problem with keeping plates on retention is that its costing you each year, my mum waited a year until she brought a new car to put her plates onto, seis started at T's :p (y)

so the whopping front and back bumpers, blend in to all the other regular cars :D

lol @ gaz!

I was looking at P 500 MCK (initials P McK and 500 for cinquecento) and also P 666 MCK (you figure that one out) but they both got snapped up pretty quick from the DVLA. Were £250 each, if I'd had loads of spare cash I'd have got them.

These numbers might not have meant anything to anyone else, but they would have to me. Was also tempted by some Irish reg numbers with 1242 in them - same again.

Thing is, we buy things like this for ourselves. I personally don't give a f what others would think, how exactly would their opinions matter to me? If you buy something because of what others think it shows a deep personal insecurity IMO.

I got a private plate on mine, can't get anything to make my name so had to go with my birthday and initials - M22 EKK, my nickname is Em so that was as close as I got  saw 22 EK for sale, £9k bit above my budget  but watch out for regtransfers - they don't always own the plates they sell. Mine was on there for 6 months after I bought it and most of the recent ones are on the DVLA website for less cash (y)

I wouldn't worry about the plate, your car isn't exactly standard is it? so folks will notice it all the time.

You been a bad boy?

Correction: all do, they all look like you have to boost your low self-esteem/other inadequacies :p
