Just had cause to look underneath the Panda and noticed that the front outriggers - the top hat sections that run from the central chassis rails towards the sills near to the front jacking points have holes in them. Holes that are obviously meant to be there, but holes that look as though they should have rubber bungs or plugs in them, just like all the rubber bungs in the main chassis rails.
In fact from the finish to the edge of the underseal and paint around the hole it looks as though there might have been a painted over bung that has been removed. It's the same on both sides and the same on a friend's Panda as well.
What does your's look like - if I hadn't seen another the same I'd have said that someone had nicked the ones out of mine.

Thanks for that, it's (sort of) nice to know they're all like that. Though why put plugs in all the holes along the central chassis member, but not in the ones directly behind the front wheels which are going to get sprayed by road salt, grit and dead pigeons:confused: It seems daft to leave those holes unplugged without even any underseal around the edge of the hole.
I guess I'll have to see if I've got any waxoyl left from the days when I used to have Triumph Heralds and Vitesses with rusty chassis - must get around to replacing the front outriggers on the Stag as well:)
