Hi

I've been lurking for a bit trying to glean some info on my (new to me) 04 plate Eleganza which I've had now for about 5 weeks.

It's fantastic apart from the radio which seems to keep turning itself on overnight which is driving me a bit nuts now. Is there an easy fix for this or is it a job for Fiat? I've tried messing with the ignition timer settings and the Traffic Announcement stuff but is there anything else obvious I'm missing? Has anyone else come across this problem?

Thanks in advance. I did a search btw but it came up with nothing so apologies if this has been asked before.

I have a similar problem with my set. When I switch the ignition on,the radio works ok. As soon as I turn the starter, the sound goes off. I have to press mute, and then press mute again to restart the audio. Seems like a power issue to the radio/cd.

I'd like to know the answer too. I have a friend with an '04 Dynamic and apparently after leaving the car parked in the garage, the radio (factory fitted radio/CD) has just turned itself on for no obvious reason. Any explanation?

Gah! It's just drained my second battery! Sometimes I hate cars. Looks like it's a trip back to the dealer. I was going to whip out the fuse which I assumed was in the box under the bonnet but reading the manual, it appears to be somewhere in the passengers side. Anyone had to get into that box before? Is it easy?

Csn't help with the fuse, but once you get it out, if you leave it out for an hour then re-insert, the radio might reset itself and work normally. But it's a longshot and guesswork on my part.:bang:

I Hate to raise old threads from the dead but I've been out of the country for a few days. Anyway, if the radio is turning itself on it needs to be replaced apparently. Fiat don't cover wiring or audio past the first year of the 3 year guarantee but as I'd only had mine for 6 weeks the dealer is covering the cost in this instance.
