I want to put a sports exhaust on my new Panda 100hp because the stock one is not really doing it for me would any of you know if the Ulter sports exhaust are any good?

Ulter boxes are great, ever so slightly louder than standard but not intrusive. If you want something to upset the neigbours, you need something else though!

That sounds good I don't want to upset the neighbours too much but just slightly louder would be better

How about a standard Abarth 500/595 exhaust? Would require a hole to be cut in the bumper and you'd need another exhaut hanger for the other side. but other than that it should fit. come up often and quite cheap too.

I know someone who had a 100hp with an abarth exhaust. Had the same tone as an abarth just a bit louder due to there being no turbo.

Having had a 100hp with a 500 Abarth back box on, I can honestly say they are a LOT louder than standard and bordering on "I hate my neighbours" territory. I took mine off and put an Ulter on - I kid you not, the difference was so marked it was only after the swap that I found out both of my rear wheel bearings were nackered and growling!

I'm surprised the 500 twin exhaust was that much louder, I listened to some clips of it fitted to the Panada 100hp on YouTube and thought it sounded quite timid.

I 'was' considering changing to the 500 twin, as my current 100hp back box is almost entirely rusted through underneath.

I've been struggling to find any examples of the sound of the Ulter back box on the internet.

I'd love an exhaust that has a little more throat to it with some moderate sporty popping thrown in for good measure, but do NOT want something raspy, loud and high pitched...

The 500A rear box with the offside tail removed and blanked saves you cutting a hole in the almost irreplaceable bumper. As for Ulter Sport, I know a few guys with them fitted and they sound almost exactly the same as stock, just a tiny bit deeper but almost indiscernible. Quality however, is good especially when you consider how cheap they are. Your other options are Ragazzon, which are on the expensive side but they are modular so you can buy just the sections you fancy and mix and match to get it just how you like it. They do 3 rear boxes, a loud one, a quiet one and a duel exit. They also do a centre box, centre box delete, sport cat and manifold. I'd probably avoid the latter as you won't be able to map it in cheaply or easily. Other than that there's Supersprint, more expensive again or a custom system from your local exhaust fabricator. If you go down this route though make sure you do a lot of googling before you pick a fabricator as they vary in quality vastly. Avoid Powerflow, from what I've seen they use scaffold pipe and can't weld for toffee.

Turbos absorb a lot of noise so when used on a non turbo engine they are LOUD and often boom annoyingly just where you need to shift the gears. If you simply want more noise, delete the mid box with a straight pipe.

If you want more performance, fit a Supersprint manifold and sports catalyst.
