hi all,

i am driving a dualogic panda 1.2 8v, and at few occasion the clutch sticks/engage even after stopping(release brake and the car would creep fwd). i then put it in neutral (it could go into neutral), i then put it in Drive, however as the gear change, the clutch is still sticking/engaged.

The only way i could correct/reset it, is by switching ignition off (dashboard light off), and restarting the car.

could anyone advice me what is wrong with it? Thank you in advance

Sounds like it needs a clutch possition relearn, it's become out of sync for some reason. What mileage has it done, and is it the origional clutch? Any warnings on the dash?

Also the gas pedal isn't being caught by the floor mat is it

hi MEP,

it has done ard 115k, since nov 2005. i just got it last mth, thus am not sure if any works has been done on the clutch.
there is no warnings on the dash when it happens. thank you.

It is a possibility the clutch has been changed then, and if by a backstreet garage they won't have the equipment to reset the parameters for the clutch bits point etc, and this could cause the issues present.

A registered version for MultiECUscan (multiECUscan.net) will enable you to complete the required reset yourself, and will probably be cheaper than getting a Fiat dealer to do it (y)

hi jon, i have a obd2 elm327 bluetooth scanner, however wasnt able to read from the ecu, i have just ordered a vag-com cable. hopefully it will work and could relearn the clutch, thank you very much for your help. will update again when the cable arrives.

Was the software you were using Fiatecuscan or multiecuscan to try and access the gearbox ECU?
