I've had a look around here but not found any trace.....so I thought I'd stick this up here. Apologies if this has already appeared.

Just got back from Italy and, as is my wont, brought a couple of car magazines home. Both had articles on the latest Panda. I've tried to download some images but they are not available on the magazines' websites so I'll try and describe them.

The latest version obviously uses the same basic bodyshell but is really quite different in many respects. From the front the headlights have lost their "squareness" and have a slightly "Crazy Frog" look. On some models the indicators are in the front bumpers, presumably, also including DRLs. Others have them integrated with the main lights. The model with the integral sidelights has round foglights while the other type has rectangular ones. Between the main lights there is a GP Evo chrome strip and the central bumper section is matt black.

There seem to be two different types of door handles as well, one being the lift up kind as used presently and the other being pull outs.

There are even two different styles of door mirror, one looking the same as the current model, the other being a bit sleeker. The other main difference between old and new at the front is that the bonnet is now a clamshell design so there are no wing tops as at present.

Both the versions I have seen have deep, possibly too deep, lower side mouldings and one has a similar one on the rear bumper.

The only internal shots show a new dashboard with little the same except the gearlever position, the dash being more rounded and "grown up" along with a new steering wheel.

Mechanically, there looks like being a 1.2 69hp "four", and a number of twin-air motors including a normally aspirated 65hp and 85hp turbo. Naturally the 1.3 Multijet appears in 75hp form. In fact, all lower powered MJs in the FIAT range seem to develop 75 horses, regardless as to which model they appear in. In other words there is no 70 hp version.

At the rear some have reflectors (and rear fogs?) in the bumper while others are integrated with the rear light clusters which although still the same position as at present, are slightly redesigned. Even the roof bars vary from model to model.

I'll try and see if the photos come up next week. Hope this has been of interest.

Er, yes, but more detail now. Due to be previewed at the Frankfurt Motor Show later this year with launch date early in 2012.

I think I'll move on to the other thread. I'm actually having the article translated by Mama. Should have it in a couple of days.
