Hi,
I've been given the loan of a small handheld OBDII reader. How useful would this tool be for diagnosing faults on a Panda?
Regards,
Dipole.

I'm pretty sure the Panda supports OBD-II so probably quite useful - have you tried doing a fault code scan? :D

is very similar to mine, gives real time data like road speed, rpm, ignition advance etc. so should help you see if the speed sensor is playing up.

Hello Pete,
I am looking for a code reader for my Multijet Panda (57 plate). The one you refer to is not on ebay any more. I have found this one amongst the many http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayIS...sPageName=ADME:B:WNASIF:GB:1123#ht_6613wt_955.
I have no idea if it is suitable, or if I would be able to work out using it. I have maintained and overhauled my own cars and motorbikes in the past and am an IT technician. Do you think I will be ok using one of these things? Is it possible to damage the ECU, or is this sort of thing risk free?
I hope you don't mind my quizzing you about this, but I don't want to spend a fortune again on getting so called experts to cost me a fortune on components I don't need.
Thanks very much,
Richard.
