  • I'm thinking of changing the rear split seats on my Panda order to the sliding version because lots of you seem to be singing its praises! (pictures would be great because I've never seen one!) Good idea, or not worth the extra?
  • Has anyone got a Fiat Panda Dog net and if so, does it fit onto the back of the seats?
  • Does it take up a lot of room in the boot when not in use, or is it best left in place all the time?
  • Would it be able to be used on the sliding seats?
  • Any other dog guards anyone has found which they could recommend.

:) hi...had the fiat dog gaurd on my previous car a 55 plate eleganza, cost nearly 70 pounds.
you have to drill holes in the back metal plate of the seats, 2 per side, and fit 2 metal pieces which the guard sits in. our jack cross could actually wriggle under and escape into the car.
dont think you can retro fit the sliding seats either, factory option when ordering.
then main problem with after market dog gaurds and the panda ( ie argooose) etc, is the limited height from back of seats to roof, it is,nt very much.
i gave up using it, pain to use and rattled + dog escaping and flogged it on flea bay last year for £15....:D

I've seen the sliding seat on Pandas. It moves about 3", but as the central point of the slide is equal to the normal seat position, the maximum gain is either 1 1/2" boot space, or the same for leg room, if you follow!

Try these people http://www.lintran-products.co.uk/intro.htm if you have a small dog.(Their standard sizes for med-large dogs will not fit a panda) It is not cheap, but keeps your car tidy and you can take it from car to car. they will make to measure. very helpful if you give them a call and they will go and measure a similar car to yours if they do not have the sizes to hand. Recommended.

Sorry I was busy today and it was dark when I got home... Promise I'll take pics tomorrow.

Oh and the dog guard isn't much use for smaller dogs as they can get through it...

you had that problem to, our russel cross used to get his head through and eventually escape. :)

No - it wasn't my dog / car. It was a friend's.

My car is a dog-free zone - I've got baby and pram in the back of mine (and our dog is much too big / fat to fit through the gap between the dog guard). Lol. :p
