Hi
Bulb/light has stopped working behind the temperature control knob and fan speed knob on dash of my 2005 4x4 panda. Before I break any fittings trying to fix this does anyone know the correct procedure to do so.
Thanks
Peter

Its actually very easy. Turn both knobs fully to the left so you know where to put them back. Then simply pull the fan control knob straight towards you and it comes away (on mine at least -- no air con in mine which may affect this). Watch for a little orange plastic piece in the knob, which can fall out. Then pull the temperature knob with one hand while pulling the grey plastic surround to both knobs with the other, and the whole panel comes away easily from a couple of spring clips. The light bulb is then sitting right in front of you (small, push-fit bulb). Push it all back together, checking that the orange piece is still in the fan knob (this is what makes the pointer light up)

Thank you so much for that - my local dealer was going to charge me £60 + VAT + parts and I did it with your instruction for £1.06 and took less than 2 minutes.

Not that confident with cars and no manual. £1.99 bulb from Halfords, 5 minutes max , job done. :) It's a thanks from me.

Hi I my 2011 Panda Dashboard lights behibe the heater controls come on and off, I accessed the bulbs using this guide but even though the bulbs are good they will not always come if i tao the side of the panel they come on indicating a loose connection, my question is how do I access behind the bulb holdersso as to check the connections.
Regards Dave Lester

Hi,
behind the bulb holders is probably a loom,
running well inside the dashboard,

1st check to see if it's the bulb to holder contacts that are at fault,
easiest is to swap 2 x fitted bulbs,
if the fault is still on the same holder then investigate further the contacts of that holder..or flex the cable / loom Behind it to see if that in itself can interrupt the supply,
charlie

Ah ha

I shall try this as the lights are intermittent on ours and i can either this or whack it with something heavy

Though i am probably the first and last person on the planet to attempt to fix a fiat panda by whacking it with a very expensive subsea electrical connector
