Hi, i am new to the forum and recently bought a Panda 0.9 TWINAIR 70HP CNG with the above uconnect system.

Thing is that
1) i can not find the shuffle option when i connect a usb drive
2)when i connect via bluetooth i can make and receive phone calls but i can not use all the menu options from the uconnect app. More sepcific i can play music from my phone and check the phone book but "My car","option","radio" and "maps" tabs indicate to connect with my phone.

Is there something i miss?
Anyone may have the same issues?

I really need "my car" tab to check "distance to empty" and all the other usefull options.

Thank you in advance!

Have you installed the latest Fiat Panda uConnect app and phone's OS in your phone? If so, these should work, but the phone needs to be 'unlocked' to use them ('unlocked' as in the passcode or thumbrint/face reignition needs to have opened the phone). To use the 'maps' setting on uConnect, you need to go first to the 'settings' tab of the app, and specify which 'map app' to use (Google, Waze etc). But the results are not great! I think (it was a while ago I set it up) you also need to specify your preferred music app in that settings tab too.

In my experience, the 'MyCar' data is very inaccurate, currently showing about half the total number of miles I have actually travelled. Distance to empty is never anywhere near right, but the 'range' info on the car's own display in the dash is pretty good (accessed via the 'trip' button on the wiper control stalk) - so I just use that.

I have actually found Panda uConnect to be pretty hopeless all the time and have stopped using it altogether. I think is long overdue fro an update to work properly with the latest phone OS and updated supporting apps (eg Waze). The uConnect app no longer seems to work properly with the latest version of Waze... even tough Fiat and Waze have collaborated on a special model! I just use Waze direct (not via uConnect) and works just fine (but cannot then play music at same time). Under the 'maps' options in settings, I cannot choose the TomTom Go app - it only lists the older (and now obsolete) TomTom as an option.

For music, I just use Apple's Siri to play music form the phone (or cloud), using 'Hey Siri' to control it. (I guess the Andoid equivalent will work too).

Oh, and I also found the phone was too far away to use the touchscreen - the radio's own controls are less far to reach!

Is there an online manual for the Panda Uconnect system? Had a quick look but all the ones I've found are for systems that have a built in touch screen.

There is a very brief section on the specific Panda version of uConnect in the last pages of the current Fiat Panda owners handbook (which you can downland from teh Fiat website). But it -- like the Panda uConnect app itself -- is utterly useless! Maybe I should write my own version of it for this website?

Ah ha - an update to my earlier post:

I had set the uConnect app to work in miles... and it showed my total mileage as 10,940miles (which is wrong)

I've now set the app to show the distance in kilometres, and it shows 17,607. Guess how many miles I have driven...? Yes, 17,607 miles!

It shows my fuel tank as 4/5ths full, which it is. But shows the distance to empty as 249km (it did show 153 miles). Guess what the dash says my range is (in miles)? Yes, 249...

The 'other useful info' it can show is actually rather limited. From here (in the house) it tells me its 13.5C outside the car (which may be about right), the car battery is fully charged (it is), and the tyre pressures are 'ok'. That 'my car' data can only be seen when the app is in 'offboard mode' -- ie not while driving. While driving, it can tell you where the nearest Fiat garage is, and give a list of what the warning lights mean. There's also direct dial shortcut to Fiat Assistance.

For a change, the 'find my car' does show it in the right place. but often it is shown as several streets away (when its outside my door).
The Waze app should show a big blue 'return to Panda uConnect' icon. That is missing, but, if you touch the screen where it should be, it does go back to the app's 'drive' view... so it does work but only if you know where to tap the screen.

I might give it another go, although as I said before, in the dash holder, it is a bit too far away

Thanks for all the answers guys..i realized that because of the CNG edition of my Panda, the app does not work as it should..so now i want to buy a replacement but i can not find the exact model of Uconnect that is mounted. anyone knows the exact model and what compatible device i should check?

If you forget to use the app all them time it only clocks things when in use. This may explain some of the oddities..
Is that so? Having told mine to work in ‘km’ (so it now shows the right number of miles(??), the figures are spot on, even though I hardly ever use uConnect. You may be right on the ‘where I’ve parked’ but though.

Hi, I just bought a 0.9 CNG Panda too and have the exactly same issue with uConnect. I can not connect my phone to the Uconnect - all the other features via bluetooth are working.
kotsakos: have you managed to get your phone connected? are you using the panda app or the native Uconnect live?
