Panda headlights are ...

...cr@?, or should I say 'not so good'

They are one of the few things I don't like about the car.

I put Philips 'X-treme Vision' (don't you just hate brand names like that?) bulbs in my old Mk3 and I think they made a difference, so maybe the Mk4 would also benefit from these.

Unless it is an actual problem with my car, then I'm either going to upgrade the bulbs or perhaps even look into HIDs... (a bit controversial that one, sorry!)

What do you guys think?

Hmmmm. Will reserve judgement as I don't get my 4x4 till next week but I suspect a headlight upgrade will be an early priority as Im used to xenons.....

Re: Panda headlights are ...

...and if I do upgrade the bulbs, do I need just H4 bulbs - same as the Mk3?? I'm sure this is in the manual, but hand-books (that are more than just a folded sheet) 'and me' do not get on... Douglas Adams once said that you should not trust anything that weighs less than its user manual and the one supplied with the little Panda really is a hefty tome.

Re: Panda headlights are ...

Halfords ones are actually brighter and they seem to do a constant buy one get one free, I've done both our cars and they make a massive difference.

Same here- my previous two cars both had xenons, so I'll be off to Halfords soon!

Re: Panda headlights are ...

I've reserved mine for collection tomorrow. Got a pair of h4 too for my VW as they would benefit from a longer beam.

Re: Panda headlights are ...

Well I collected my bulbs this morning. Hopefully anyone else who ordered them has either collected or had them dispatched already as they have withdrawn the discount.

I'm going to wait till its dark then take some before and after pics to compare the output.

Re: Panda headlights are ...

I put Phillips X-Treme Vision in mine and they made a bit difference.

The only problem for me is that they don't match the LED DRL's I've put in...
