Hi everyone
Looking for a bit of advice please my granddaughter has a 2015 panda but is having a lot of issues with it especially after heavy rain
It won't start warning lights are coming on and the front electric windows have a mind of their own
We have put a new battery in it and an auto electrian has suggested it could be the ecu module(to be honest he just said module to her)
Do you think this would be the case with possible water damage i am planning to take the engine scuttle cover off at the weekend to check if there is a build up of water with the drains being blocked i am hoping it is just a case of water getting somewhere it shouldn't but maybe clutching at straws
The electrician has said he can't find anyone to help with the module apart from a fiat dealer so that would be expensive
Does anybody know of anyone in the glasgow area that could help
Thanks
G

They do notoriously get full of water in the scuttle area (several threads on how to on here). There are two rubber things commonly called "duck bills" that protrude into the engine bay from the bottom of the scuttle and are designed to let water drip through. They commonly get blocked up. With a bit of dexterity you can reach in and give them a squeeze (or just yank them out) and whatever is held in there will come gushing out. But if you're planning on going in from the top anyway that's a better way of doing it to then get rid of all the rubbish that collects in there.

FYI the ECU is under the bonnet (away from the scuttle). However, the body control module (BCM) sits under the glove box by the passenger's feet (in RHD) so could be potentially in the firing line of a flooded scuttle; have a peer in the top around where the wipers are connected - is there a puddle??

Thanks for that she has said she can hear water sloshing about in that area so I'll be having a look at the weekend
