As the title states please can someone advise to the correct oil for my 1.2 8v panda easy. I believe its Selenia K P.E but can someone confirm.

Yep, that's the stuff.
Worth buying in bulk from Shop4Parts, will probably save you a bit of wedge.

check the fiat grande punto faq section you want oil that meets the exact specification (euro 5) as in the handbook castrol do one as too Do motol and fulksh(spl)

I think so. The engine was used in the very last mk 3 pandas as the "mylife" special edition as I recall.
Btw MEP, why is it saying you're in Bolivia?

Mrs b_u has a 1.2 that's 22 months old, done 17000 miles - used about half a litre over 5000 miles on top up last week.
That sounds about right for a car with that mileage.
Over the first 7500 miles I've gone through a litre of oil in our 1.2. Seems to guzzle a little more than our old 1.2 500, but I guess that's down to more A-road and motorway driving rather than around town?
Anyway, the oil and filter was changed on our Panda yesterday, so it now has fresh stuff in there for the winter ahead (along with my winter tyres).

Indeed it is - it's exactly the same EURO 5 unit as used in the 500, Punto and the last Panda.
Interesting, I know the Euro 3 and Euro 4 FIRE engines use next to no oil (in 8v form, 16v does a little).
So it would seem that the euro 5 does use oil then

I think the 2009 was the euro 4. As far I know out of the mk3 pandas, only the mylife models have the euro 5 1.2 engine.

My 1.2 used 200ml in the first 1500 miles.
I changed the oil to Amsoil at 1500 miles and it's not used a drop since (currently on 1900 miles).

I don't know if it does necessarily guzzle the oil, our old 1.2 500 never used a great deal up before we moved down to Devon; since then both the 500 and our new Panda have been used a lot on dual carriageways and A-roads up to 60mph.
I don't think I drive the car too hard, but the reality is it's quite hilly around here, so you do need to drop down a gear and give it some welly at times - don't suppose that helps!
I'll keep an eye on it and see what happens when it goes in for its first dealer service in April. Am guessing consumption will have gone down a bit by then as the engine is approaching 10k.
