Heya pandonians!

I have now got all the parts i need to start rebuilding my car. It has taken me a lot longer than i thought it would but i have done it. I have been very stingy with my money and have managed to get the following parts for the grand total of £150.

Bonnet
Grill
Headlight
Front wing
Front panel
Radiator
Bumper
Bumper mount
indicator lense

Thats the damage for the accident at least. I have managed a new starter motor for £26 aswell. So my breaking down in petrol station days are over!

Just thought i'd let you guys know the progress, as soon as the parts get here i'll be handing over my car to my mate and getting stuck into repairs. Hopefully, all the parts i need to get it repaired will arrive 2morra. Then i can get my mind off the car and back on the degree. To say its suffered would be an understatement.

When i say i have all the parts i need, i kinda lie. i also require a panda washer bottle still. Ive seen the one turbonned has in the classifieds but not sure thats a panda one to be honest. If anyone is breaking a panda or has one lying around their garage, then please PM me!

Thanks ppl, i will take pics as the work progresses. My panda is gonna be black and white for a little while though. A white bonet, black bumper and wing. Its gonna av a black patch aroung its eyes like a real panda.. hahaha. hehehe...ho ho ho.
nyaaaa OKAY im insane. Waaaay too much parts sourcing for one "loan panda owner" lol.

Si, are you talking about the windscreen washer bottle or headlight washer bottle?

If windscreen I have one spare from the 'Rat. It's a MK1 bottle, shaped so that that jack and spare wheel fit into it with washer motors for front and rear windows. It's pretty dirty but it's all there and yours if you want it. PM me an address to send it to.

Ok, the car is going to the garage this weekend YAY!

I have also discovered unfortunatley that the bonnet hinge is buggered. The bonnet doesnt bolt on straight (ive fitted the new one shown in the attached picture) so im not sure wat to do. if its the hing thats bent then i guess i buy one of them, but it may have pushed the mounting in. Hopefully not as that could be difficult to fix

At least i should know the e.t.a. on the end of this problem after the weekend.

i did have a pair of a mk2 ... but i may have had a spring clean at some point.. if not i can get them off the car at the breakers... or you can get them off a car at a breakers thinking about it within a moment of clarity.

I have looked around local scrappies. they have no panda's as scrap metal value is high at the mo, and i guess alot of places just dont see much desire to keep panda's

Hopefully the old ones will just bend back into shape. the hinges i can see being a huge problem tbh, there was so much rust around that area, not much holding the hinges on anymore the hinge on the other side is almoat sompletely snapped off. Not good, i'm going to have to get some strengthening stuff welded in there i think. thats gonna be fun

If i need to, i'll grab the hinges off you if thats ok. Will let you know anyways!
