Hi all, I have a lovely Fiat Panda 45 (called Peanut). Peanut is an old car 1981, i think of her as a classic, The old push pump water jet, the back seat which folds into a hammock, yes shes very old, so old the glass fell out of her headlights and to top it of i had a police car behind me at the time, I have hunted high and low in gloucestershire for replacements, i have placed an international search on several salvage web sites to no avail. Help is needed, If anybody has any ideas it would be much appreciated. Tosca:wave:

No, afraid not

looks like there is another panda 45 owner around then, as someone keeps outbidding at the last minute for panda 45 bits :(. Tosca, what condition is the bodywork on your car (you show me your rust, and i will show you mine :D). By the way, all headlights for pandas will fit (1981 - 2003) :)

I would double check this. I don't think the Mk1 headlights are the same as latter cars, I don't think they are as tall. They certainly have different indicator lenses and the grille panels are different hieghts I believe.

That said Chris has one of each while I'm doing this from memory:eek: Maybe Vin can give us a casting vote;)

Nice to see so many 45's still about(y) cheers Damon

In good condtion, i was very lucky the car was owned by a old lady in a care home she passed away, and the car was put into storage, my dad asked if i would buy it for £200, it only has 26,000 on the clock which is original and the paperwork, its quite strange the car came from the fiat garage that my dad worked at all those years ago. ITs a fun little car though Oh small amount of rust onthe little window sill.

(n) sorry its taken so long to reply my router is playing up

Welcome tosca, and good to see another Mk 1 Panda (y)

Damon is correct about headlights on Mk 1 & Mk2 Pandas being different. Later lights have a deeper profile, earlier ones are flatter and more upright.

Early lights will fit a post 86 car but there is a gap between bumper and light and is not flush with the later grill. As regards fitting later lights to earlier car, I've never done it, so I don't know what it will be like.

A chap had a pair of Mk 1 lights for sale on Ebay a few months ago. Don't know if he sold them though. His ID was motorboyler and based in Northern Ireland. Can always ask if he still has them.

Good luck with the Mk 1 tosca, and you've certainly come to the right place.

Vin
